Espresso Party

How I planned and hosted a coffee shop style Espresso Party

Planning and Scheduling

  • I organized the guests into groups of 2-4 people for Time Slots every 30 minutes

  • Each 30-minute time slot Guests would arrive, their order would be taken and then I would make their order, and it would be served during that slot.

Hosting and acting as the “the owner”

What I learned:

  • Be the leader

  • Confidence is found through consistency

  • Make it easy for the customer

  • Set the mood

  • Create a sense of comfort, genuine interest, and contentment

  • Make it clear you are proud of your work and products

  • Show you are flexible to your customer’s need within your parameters

  • Unleash your unwavering passion for your craft

  • Organize everything

What I did:

  • Made a set menu with 5 options that can be customized

  • Occasionally checked on guests and prioritized each one

  • Sent out simple RSVP button links

  • Encouraged guests to stay as long as they wished

  • Hired someone I trust and work well with to be my waiter

  • Took input from guests for the next date
